Backstage: Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2014

A day before Tommy Hilfiger's show, I was invited by the Tommy team to the headquarters, here in New York; the idea was to see before anyone the spring 2014 collection, I was able to go through the pieces and take a close look at them, before the actual runway... exciting, right? I feel deeply honored to live this experience, I was the only media in Mexico to have this lifetime opportunity, it feels great! Of course and for obvious reasons I was not able to share this experience live with you, but now I’m good to go so I wanted to share some of the pictures I took during this special visit. I focused on taking the ‘small details’ that you are not able to really appreciate during a show, I imagined that by now you’ve already seen the lookbook from the collection...

I really enjoyed the collection, I think the twist Tommy gave for this season is interesting, I mean, he was inspired by his love for California that turned out to be a beautiful surfer mood with an interesting -and colorful- mixture of textures such as: denim, neoprene, cotton and linen. There are more surprises to come! because, I had the honor to interview Tommy himself after the show: expect a post about this exclusive interview were he tells me all about the Spring 2014 collection.

Un día antes del desfile de Tommy Hilfiger, tuve el gusto de ser invitada a las oficinas generales de la marca aquí en Nueva York para conocer en exclusiva la colección que se presentaría hasta el otro día; por obvias razones no pude compartir nada hasta después de la pasarela, pero la verdad es que fue un honor que el equipo de Tommy pensara en mí para esta exclusiva -que confiaran en mi para este proyecto- porque fui el único medio Méxicano en tener un full access a la colección. Tomé varias fotos de mi visita y como pensé que para este entonces ya habrían visto las fotos de los looks de pasarela me enfoqué en los detalles y en los preparativos previos a la presentación. 

La colección en general me encantó, me gustó mucho el twist que Tommy le da a esta temporada, es muy interesante ver la mezcla de texturas: denim, neopreno, algodón y lino con un mood muy Californiano, les dejo las fotos ¡espero que las disfruten! Por cierto, les tengo otra sorpresa, en breve compartiré con ustedes una entrevista exclusiva que le hice al mismísimo Tommy Hilfiger, minutos después del show: Hablamos de su inspiración y todo lo referente a esta colección de primavera 2014.
