Trend Report

I had to made trend reports for my class and they turned out so well that I’ve decided to share them with you. They focus on two major FW12 trends: geometrics and prints, which I enjoy a lot for the up coming season.

To achieve the geometric look you can use layers -it’s all about layering actually- this way you create the shapes with the use of skirts, blazers, vests and coats. Color is also very useful to form the figures... it’s quite vivid and it pops up color even for winter which is amazing. If you use the lines and shapes in certain ways you can play with the shapes and achieve very flattering outfits: you can look taller, skinnier or accentuate the waist and hide the hips... it's very useful.

The print mania has been present on the catwalks since pasts seasons, but for this winter we can see a madness for darker yet vibrant colors, total looks and ankle trousers and blazers with motives; dark flowers with colorful animal print that in some way work together. Purple, dark blue and red are definitely colors to look for in an outfit.

I hope you find these boards useful for planning your fall winter outfits.
Love,
Gina
