NARS Summer Collection 2012

What a better way to start summer than with a vibrant and colorful makeup? NARS -as always- has the best options for these hot days.

I was invited to the presentation of the summer collection a few weeks ago; it included a mini makeup class, so it was quite dinamic. Julio Sandino international makeup artist gave us all sort of tips to achieve a fresh look. At the end of the session we were able to ask him some questions, so I asked him: how to reduce bags under the eyes? (from which I suffer a lot btw) his answer was to drink a lot of water, sleep well (not so easy for me, though!) reduce the salt consumption and if you have an important event you can use  pile cream under the eyes to reduce the swelling... I know it’s kind of gross but sometimes it's a matter of National Security (or not).

My favourites of the whole collection are the Thakoon for NARS Nail Polish, inspired of course on the designer's SS12 RTW collection; the colors are amazing and vibrant. I've been trying them also in my foot and they look spectacular. It's difficult to pick just one color at a time, so I've decided to paint each nail with a different shade…

¿Qué mejor manera de comenzar el verano que con una maquillaje vibrante y colorido? Bueno, pues la marca NARS -como siempre- nos trae las mejores opciones para estos días calurosos.

Me invitaron hace un par de semanas a la presentación de esta colección de verano; durante el evento tuvimos una mini clase de maquillaje, así que fue muy divertido y dinámico. Julio Sandino, makeup artist internacional nos dio todo tipo de tips para lograr un look fresco y versátil durante estos días veraniegos. Al final de la sesión podíamos preguntar lo que quisiéramos, así que yo no perdí la oportunidad y le pregunté ¿Cómo reducir las bolsas debajo de los ojos? (de las cuales -confieso- sufro bastante), su respuesta fue que lo mejor es tomar mucha agua, dormir bien (cosa que no es sencilla de lograr en mi caso), reducir el consumo de sal y si de verdad tienes un evento muy importante puedes usar un poco de crema para hemorroides de bajo de los ojos para reducir la hinchazón... sí, lo sé no suena muy agradable pero bueno, hay veces que es cuestión de seguridad nacional (o no, pero uno así lo cree)

Mis favoritos de toda la colección son los barnices de Thakoon para NARS, inspirados por supuesto, en la colección SS2012 RTW del diseñador; los tonos son espectaculares y vivos. Los he estado usando también en las uñas de los pies y se ven geniales. Me es difícil elegir solo uno, así que he decidido pintarme una uña de cada color...
